Welcome to Clay and Fire.
From my workshop, a converted stable on a farm that spans the Wiltshire-Somerset border, I produce a diverse and eclectic range of wood-fired salt glazed and some Raku; vessels, figures and sculptures. In the adjacent field I construct and fire solid fuel kilns, often as part of Courses and Workshops.
I chose the location for my studio after returning from working in a rural pottery in Malawi. Subsequent travels have enabled me to work with charities in Nepal, Tanzania, and visit USA and Europe.
I have a passion for clay and the alchemy of firing in hand-built kilns. Please contact me to discover more about my work and the opportunities to take part in workshops.
